THE FRIENDS OF THE BRAUMART was organized in 2007, and is a theater redevelopment organization with specific goals of purchasing, renovating, and managing the historic Braumart Theater - bringing our historic downtown theater to life.
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with over 400 members from 10 states. Our mission is to develop the historic Braumart Theater into a dynamic cultural center, which embraces all arts and artists. We also want to provide cultural, educational, and economic stimulus of the arts for the area, while providing a social and cultural gathering space.
Partner/member of The League of Historic American Theaters, Iron Mountain Main Street/DDA, Dickinson Area Partnership and Great Lakes Center for Youth Development.
Estimated timeline for completed development is approximatly 2 years from the date of the purchase of the building.
Located at 106 East B Street in Iron Mountain, Michigan, the monthly general business meetings are held the FIRST TUESDAY of each month at 5:30 pm central standard time, in the upstairs office, door located at the WEST END of the main entrance. We encourage new people to attend and participate.
